Parent volunteers and others interested in becoming an advocate for their school and the CA charter school movement.

Grassroots Advocacy Training 101 – How does it work? How does it help your child’s school? What you can do to help.

10:00 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

Break

10:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Grassroots Advocacy 201 – Building an infrastructure to support c.s. movement. What can you do at your school site to be part of the statewide infrastructure. Specific direction will be given.

12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Lunch and General Session – Lunch is not provided, if you would like to attend the lunch session please indicate below.

1:45 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Grassroots Advocacy Training 301 – Local Advocacy Efforts. Promoting your school to the press and other local advocacy efforts will be addressed, including: coalition building with local business and political community, running for a local office to be a voice for the charter school movement etc.
