The Hart Vision Awards, established by CANEC in 1995, are named in honor of Gary K. Hart, retired California State Senator and former California Secretary of Education.

CANEC welcomes nominations for individuals who have made outstanding contributions to California charter schools in the following categories:
Charter School Site Staff: This category recognizes a person with outstanding vision and dedication at the charter school site. Teachers, administrators and support staff are eligible.
Charter School Site Volunteer: The nominee eligible for this category should be a charter school site volunteer working directly with students.
Charter School Movement Supporter: Nominees for this category should be involved in efforts on a statewide or regional level supporting charter schools.

Scholarships for Charter High School Seniors - Application Deadline: February 15, 2003

The California Network of Educational Charters (CANEC), the statewide charter school association, is offering TWO $1,000 scholarships to be awarded to 2003 graduates from CANEC member schools. The scholarships will be payable to the recipient upon proof of his/her enrollment into an accredited public or private junior college, college, or university program. The application deadline is February 15, 2003.
