Contacting your representatives is as easy as
|

Confirm the name and address of your local representatives. Your school and your home addresses may have different representatives --contact all the representatives for both addresses! Go to http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html. Enter your zip code, press SEARCH, and you will be provided with the name and address of your state senator and assembly member. Please send your letter to the address of the Sacramento office. This information is also available on AOL (through the Mail Center) and on the Articles & Legislation page of www.canec.org. |

Write a short letter to your representative. Use this format for the address: The Honorable [First Name] [Last Name] Re: Please support/oppose SB/AB XXX Dear Senator [Last Name]: or Dear Assembly Member [Last Name]: Keep your letter to one typed page. Explain what you are writing about – reference the AB or SB number. State whether you support or oppose the bill. Explain why you are concerned. Use as many specifics as possible. Be honest, be direct, and be passionate. |
